ASML not helping the Nasdaq 100 futures much yet today

Earlier this morning the Q1 results from the Dutch semiconductor giant rather disappointed with its earrings missing on estimates. The Nasdaq 100 did manage to avoid a lower close last night, but not by very much. The index closed just 6 points higher, at 17,713. That was noted here earlier this morning. The low seen prior to that close was set at 17,660. Well, the ASML miss has seemingly weighed on the Nasdaq 100 future and earlier today it was pricing a reopening close to 17,600 later on. It has bounced off that low now, as the European markets reopen a moment ago. That has seen immediate gains in the likes of the DAX and the CAC. Even the FTSE 100 is making some minor progress too in early trade, which is a little surprising. That seems to be stemming from gains in the mining sector. The Nasdaq 100 futures are just now pricing a reopening at 17,680
