The Asian stock markets are mostly in the red this morning following a series of lower US closes last night. Those were pretty modest though and led by a 0.35% fall in the Dow Jones. The index closed 137 points lower, at 38,905. The higher US PPI and subsequent rise in US bond yields is what really impacted all the US stock markets lower yesterday. The Asian markets are mostly in the red this morning and the US dollar is still holding the gains it notched up yesterday, but more on that in a minute. Meantime, the Dow Jones futures are in the red this morning, as the European futures continue to point to a lower opening a little later on. The Dow Jones futures are currently pricing a reopening this afternoon, at 38,880
