Asia turns red after US stocks wither into the close- check out the Dow Jones futures

The Asian markets are almost all entirely in the red today, led lower by losses in the Nikkei. That index was closed yesterday, but has lost over 1% today. Ahead of that last night, the US stock market gains mostly all petered out. The Dow Jones had gained earlier in the day, rising to as high as 34,725. However, it spent the final 3 hours of trading leaking lower and later closed barely changed, at 34,624, with gain of just 6 points on the session. The dollar has bounced back too, but we are still talking about confined ranges there. The Dow Jones futures are slightly in the red this morning too, currently indicating a reopening at around 34,600
