Late yesterday evening the Q4 results from Apple (AAPL) hit the wires around 9.30pm GMT. Apple only modestly beat on EPS and earnings and noted a slowdown in iPhone sales to China. However, the upbeat outlook helped to lift the share price by around 3% in the grey market. So, because Apple is quoted on all three US indexes, that gain has floated all boats this morning. All those indexes closed modestly higher last night anyway and the S+P 500 was on this occasion the best performer. The index put on 0.53%, compared to 0.45% for the Nasdaq 100 and 0.38% for the Dow Jones. The S+P 500 closed 31.86 points higher, at 6,071.17. The index future is right now pricing the opening around 6,086
