Yesterday the DAX continued its record run and series of record closes. The index rose to a new all time high at 18,511, as was covered in updates here. However, it could not hold all of that gain into the close, but still ended the day with a new record close, at 18,477. The DAX futures are higher this morning, buoyed by gains on Wall Street last night and a push higher in the FTSE 100 futures this morning (more on that one in a minute). The DAX futures are right now pricing a reopening above 18,500 and the odds of a new record high being set later this morning look live. Ay the same time, the gains yesterday have pushed the 14 day RSI closer to 90 (at 86.70 as of the close last night). So, with Europe and specifically Germany closed tomorrow and Monday for Easter, today will be the last chance for the bears to have a say ahead of the Long weekend. The question is whether or not profit-taking will impact this index today. The DAX is just now priced to reopen around 18,520 ahead of some important German Sales data due shortly at 7am GMT
