Another record close and a potential record opening for the DAX this morning
The DAX reached a new all time high yesterday, at 21,671. The subsequent close, at 21,637 was another record close for the index. The index futures are not that much removed from the closing level just now this morning. So, this record run looks like it could continue again today. Look, its gravity-defying and against the fundamentals of the broader economy, but the hot money is still chasing this one. As to how far this might extend from here on is really hard to gauge. The latest results from Deutsche Bank this morning have delivered another decline in annual profits, but does anyone care about that? Not really it seems. The DAX is currently priced to set another record opening this morning, right now at around 21,635
