Amazon and Apple in the spotlight for the Nasdaq 100 tonight

As you probably know now, the Nasdaq 100 rebounded sharply into the close last night and the futures have built on that rebound and greatly buoyed by the results from Meta and Microsoft after the closing bell. Well, tonight after the closing bell we get two more tech titans reporting. Those are Amazon (AMZN) at 8.00pm GMT and Apple (AAPL) at 8.30pm GMT. There will be more detail on what the markets expect from those Q1 earnings later today, but there is something important to note here. That is as follows- Meta and Microsoft were always likely to whether the impacts of immediate US trade policy much better than what we might see from Apple and Amazon and therein lies the rub. It is possible that these two giants might just deliver a reversal to all that we saw unfold yesterday. That is surely not a certainty though, but nevertheless something to consider. The Nasdaq 100 closed last night at 19,571, with a modest gain of 26 points on the day, where earlier the index fell to 19,011. The futures have priced the opening today as high as 19,875. It is currently priced to reopen around 19,825
