After a slow start the Nasdaq 100 lifts to set new records above 19,730

The Nasdaq 100 did set a new record opening level earlier this afternoon. The index had closed on Friday at 19,659, which as pointed out here earlier, was a record close for the index. It officially reopened today at 19,681, but for quite a while seemed to struggle to make further progress. The index edged down to a low at 19,623, but in more recent trading it has surged above the opening highs and now traded to set even more records, as it rises above 19,730. So, once again the index has continued to attract heavy investment flows and that comes despite a lack of overall traction in the Dow Jones. Granted that index has rebounded from the lows seen earlier, but overall not yet in any kind of meaningful way. The gains in the Nasdaq 100 have helped to lift the S+P 500 though. The Nasdaq 100 is currently trading at 19,740
