Actually it is the Nasdaq 100 future that is star of the show this morning
The Nasdaq 100 got upended into the close last night. The index fell back from a session high at 19,643 to a low at 19,330. The index later closed at 19,344, with a loss of 87 points on the day. That 0.45% loss on the session was the weakest in percentage terms of the three major US indexes. However, as with the other two indexes, the Nasdaq 100 futures are abruptly higher this morning. The rise is being led by premarket gains in the likes of NVIDIA, Apple, Microsoft and Meta. So, right now the Nasdaq 100 futures are actually outperforming the other two indexes and they have been pricing the opening above 19,700 a short while ago. Even now the index is priced to reopen above the highs seen yesterday, currently at around 19,690
