20k well and truly on the radar today following a record close for the DAX

As reported on here yesterday, the DAX rose to set a new record, taking out the noted potential resistance level at 19,862. The rise extended to around 19,925 before an afternoon relapse sent it back below 19,800. However, the rebound that followed saw it push to set a new record high, at 19,933.62. That high was exactly where the index ended the session. Of course that was a new record close too and the contrast between the DAX and the CAC was clear to see. The CAC ended the session entirely unchanged. As noted here a couple of times yesterday; were it not for the records in the DAX, the CAC would surely have fared much worse. This morning the DAX futures have earlier been pricing a reopening around 19,950, but not just now. It is currently priced to reopen slightly lower this morning, but whatever happens 20k is surely on the radar today
