As covered in a later afternoon update here, the EUR/USD could not get above the 1.0750 handle yesterday. The Euro topped out at 1.0746. It later backed off into the US close, dropping to a low at 1.0722, before closing at 1.0733. It has tried to push higher again today, but so far that 1.0750 level has proved elusive. The high seen this morning has been set at 1.0744. Now, the end of this week marks the month-end and there are already several reports of quite substantial US dollar outflow set for that month-end. They cannot be conformed as accurate here, but that is what is floating around the market this morning. If that is the case, then perhaps the failure to rise above 1.0750 so far this week might seem a little at odds with that? Perhaps as the week unfolds we shall see if if all this holds any water. The EUR/USD is currently trading at 1.0737
