Vietnam Index

The Vietnam Index (VN30) is a capitalisation-weighted index of shares of companies listed on the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange (HOSE). Each stock on the index affects its price in proportion to its capitalisation. It launched on 6 February 2012.

The 30 largest Vietnamese companies, representing 9 economic sectors, make up the VN30. Over half of the index (57%) consists of companies from the banking and insurance sectors.

The intraday volatility for this stock index is 2.3% in 2020.
