US wage growth slows

Despite the better-than-expected jobs figures and unemployment rate in the United States, the average hourly wage slowed significantly more in December 2022 than analysts had forecasted. Investors saw this as a sign of a slowing economy, and the President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta, Raphael Bostic, hinted that the interest rate would be raised by just 0.25% at the next Fed meeting. In this environment, the price of gold has begun to rise again.
