The US dollar shows strength
The producer price index data released yesterday showed that it had risen less than analysts had predicted and that initial unemployment claims were higher than expected. The news wasn't great for the US dollar, which still managed to see a strong performance. Last week's trend of the US dollar strengthening on positive US labour market news remains in place.
